Although there's much to enjoy about the gameplay, Peter & Sons are especially known for their visuals, and Wild Duel is another winner. The reels form part of the whole backdrop and are barely distinguishable from the setting. The characters and the theme look so markedly different from the norm. It almost feels as if it's been set in the middle of a Terry Pratchett novel!

The paytable shows the playing card royals as the low pays, with 10-A kicking off the play. The premium symbols include TNT bombs, cacti, goat skulls and bottles, with the top value symbol worth an encouraging x11 for a full line of five.

There are plenty of wilds in this game, which might be expected given the name, and these can substitute for the regular pays to make more matches. 

You'll trigger the Wild Duel feature if you land two scatters anywhere on the board. As part of this, you'll get a respin during which two extra reels - each holding three positions - appear alongside the existing grid. These reels have names: the one to the left is the Marshal Law, while the one on the right is the Outlaw Reel. Do you see where this is heading?!

When the reels respin, the Outlaw reel will show a selection of bad guys, each of whom have a multiplier of up to x10. On the Marshal law, there are either blanks or characters; the latter come with a range of features such as sticky wilds, expanding wilds that cover a full reel and random wilds. Sticky wilds will remain on the reels for the Wild Duel feature.

If two characters in the Marshal and Outlaw reels land on the same row, they’ll engage in a duel. If the Marshal is victorious, the corresponding wild is awarded together with whatever multiplier the Outlaw holds. Multiple duels can occur at the same time, and winning any duel leads to another respin. The feature finishes when there are no more duels or when the Outlaw beats the Marshal.

Back in the base game, on any spin which doesn’t land a win, the Wild Placement feature may randomly trigger. This puts three wilds on the reels in any position.

If you land three scatters, you'll open the free spins bonus. During this round, the Will Duel feature will remain unlocked throughout. You'll start with ten free spins, but winning a duel will give you another free spin. Winning two or more duels simultaneously will give you two more free spins.
