MONOPOLY Hot Property Scratchcard

Monopoly needs no introduction. The classic boardgame was originally developed under the name "The Landlord's Game" in the US in 1903 by one Lizzie Magie. Her original intention was to create a game that would show the economic ills of allowing monopolies to be created in the housing market.

Instead, she was responsible for one of the best-selling board games of all time, which is still going strong over one hundred years later. Not only that, the game has also crossed over into other genres, including slots and live dealer games, and now a scratchcard!

MONOPOLY Hot Property is an online scratchcard by SG in cooperation with Hasbro. Here players will see all their favourite playing pieces from the board game. These sit above a 3 x 5 grid of property cards. When players hit reveal first, the playing pieces dissolve to show numbers. Then the property cards flip to also reveal numbers. If any of the numbers that were behind the playing pieces match the numbers on the board, you'll be awarded the "value" of that property.

Just like in the game, there are property cards and also some special ones.

Turning up a Free Parking card will potentially get players an instant cash prize.

There are also Chance and Community Chest cards. If players reveal one of these, a short animation will take the card to the centre of the screen where it will display a scenario and potential prize just like those that can be found in the game.

If players are lucky enough to reveal a Go symbol, they'll have a chance at the Board Bonus Game.

The Bonus Game is played out on an actual Monopoly board. Players start out with five random properties and have a fixed number of dice rolls to get around the board. Buy full sets of properties, and they'll unlock a different multiplier for each one. If players roll a double or pass "Go", they'll get extra rolls. Chance and Community Chest cards can also potentially award instant prizes in the bonus game.

If a double is rolled or players pass go, they will receive more rolls of the dice. Potential instant prizes will also be unlocked if players land on Chance and Community Chest on the game board.

While this version of Monopoly might not be fun for all the family as you have to be over 18 to play, it's still a great game, and it actually gives you a chance to win real money. And it's just one of the many scratchcards and other games we have available here at Gala Bingo!
